The citizens of central Montana value their public recreation facilities. These are complemented by the City of Lewistown Park System, which contains over 200 acres of parklands. These include: reservoirs, parks, fishing ponds, outdoor skating rink, miles of trails, and outdoor recreation facilities.
The Frog Ponds, a popular part of the park system, are located in the middle of Lewistown at the intersection of Airport Rd and Flourite Drive.
They include the West Spring Street walking trails with trailhead parking, fishing ponds and educational kiosks. They also provide a convenient location for walking, wildlife viewing and family fishing, as they are stocked annually with rainbow trout.
