East Fork Recreation Area, located about 11 miles southeast of Lewistown, in the foothills of the beautiful Snowy Mountains.
East Fork is a local favorite for fishing, winter ice fishing, boating (no wake), canoeing, camping, biking, hiking, wildlife viewing and general recreation. Fishing is primarily for perch and northern pike.
Part of the City of Lewistown park system, the dam was originally built for flood control along Big Spring Creek. Park facilities now include picnic tables, restrooms, campgrounds, and boat launch. Fresh water is available, however, there is no electricity.
For a quick day trip, or overnight camping adventure, East Fork is a great spot to spend time with friends and family in a beautiful Central Montana setting.
It’s $10.00 for a campsite/night and $5.00 for tent camping/night. Those camping cannot stay more than 14 days in any 30 day period.
